Medieval Castle is a very popular workshop day and can be adapted for Key Stages 1, 2 & 3.

Sessions include archery training, a medieval wall tour, replica armour handling, shield making and a group role play medieval banquet.

We explore life in Lincoln Castle and bring people from the past to life e.g. Nicola de la Haye and Sir William Marshal. A great day for all!

Our workshop sessions include the following:

  • Castle Wall Tour – Castle Tour with details of the history of Lincoln Castle and how it was built or your specific focus.
  • Medieval Role Play Banquet – Immersive Medieval banquet, costume, jesters and dancing.
  • Knights and Archers – Train to be a Medieval Archer and explore the armour and equipment needed to be a good Knight!
  • Shield making – Design and create your own coat of arms
