Workshop Experiences

Our workshop experiences have the following group charges:

Part day workshop (two 1 hour experiences available am or pm)

1 group (max 32 students) = £218
2 groups (max 64 students) = £436

Full day workshop (three 1 hour experiences running from 10am-2pm)

1 group (max 32 students) = £327
2 groups (max 64 students) = £654
3 groups (max 96 students) = £981

We also offer a reduced price for groups who do not fall within the group sizes above:

Between 32 and 48 pupils = £490
Between 64 and 80 pupils = £817

Lunch rooms are included free of charge for all workshop experiences.

Guided Learning Experiences

Guided experiences e.g. a tour of Roman Posterngate or the Castle Bailey = £7.20 per person (minimum group booking x 10)

You can combine a Guided Experience with other aspects of the programme should you wish e.g. part day workshop or Self-led.

Self-led Experiences

Lincoln Castle All-inclusive (includes access to the Medieval Wall Walk, Magna Carta Document Vault and Victorian Prison) = £9.50 per student
Lincoln Castle Medieval Wall Walk = £7 per student
Lincoln Castle grounds = free
Lincoln Museum = Lincoln Museum’s archaeology displays are currently closed for refurbishment
Usher Gallery = free (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Museum of Lincolnshire Life = free (closed Wednesdays and Thursdays)

Accompanying adults are free with the following ratio:

1:6 for Early Years, KS1 & 2 and 1:10 for KS3 & 4.

You can combine a Self-led Experience with other aspects of the programme should you wish e.g. part day workshop or Guided Experience. In good weather the sites have ideal outdoor picnic areas.

Lunch room hire for Self-led = £63.50

Please note that there is limited availability of lunch rooms for Self-led experiences due to workshop demands. In good weather the sites have ideal outdoor picnic areas.

Digital Experiences

Payment

The payment methods for each of the learning offers (except loans kits and films) is via Invoice or LCC journal transfer. More details are listed on the Investigate Booking Form once you make an enquiry. Please note that it is not an option to pay by cash or cheque on the day of the visit.

To return the Booking Form within 14 days.
To sign the Booking Form in order for the team to progress to the confirmation stage.
To read the Site Visit Information leaflet sent with your Booking confirmation email.
To review the timetable or other relevant information sent by the team (this will be sent to you at least 2 weeks before your visit) and contact the learning team with any questions should you wish.

Cancellations

Notice of cancellation must be given by email or post.

The Booking Form is binding and cancellation charges will be applied as follows;

4+ weeks’ notice of cancellation = no cancellation charge
2-4 weeks’ notice of cancellation = 50% cancellation charge
Less than 2 weeks’ notice of cancellation = 100% cancellation charge

Help with travel costs

If you are a Lincolnshire or North Yorkshire based Primary School you may be able to apply for financial support for your travel costs from the Mukherjee Trust.

The fund offers financial support of up to £1000, specifically to help cover the costs of transport for primary school groups participating in trips.
