Precious Egyptian artefacts were donated to our museum in the early 20th Century. Investigate Ancient Egyptian life and death in our fascinating hands on activities.
What was their preoccupation with death? What do we know about their religion/beliefs? And what do we know about their lives?
Our workshop sessions include the following:
Museum Investigation – Explore the artefacts on display and help prepare a Pharaoh for the afterlife with a hands-on mummification workshop
Digging the Egyptians – Explore the Egyptian finds in a mini dig.
Life in Ancient Egypt – Historical Osiris Drama/Role Play where pupils take on the characters and explore this exciting mythological story OR become an Egyptian scribe and learn the secrets of Hieroglyph writing and how the Rosetta stone helped us unlock the languages of Ancient Egypt.
