CM07 – Part of Full Day 

Precious Egyptian artefacts were donated to our museum in the early 20^th Century. We investigate life in Ancient Egypt and compare Egyptian artefacts with those from Bronze Age Britain. Learn how to mummify an Ancient Egyptian in the interactive mummification workshop. Find out what happened to the gods in our Osiris role play.

Workshop options to choose from are:

• Gallery tour: Gallery tour with object handling and mummification activity
• Dig: Explore the Egyptian finds in a mini dig
• Play: Historical Osiris Drama/Role Play where pupils take on the characters and explore this exciting story
• Art: Art & Design activities including Hieroglyph writing, Egyptian amulet necklace, sarcophagus design, paddle doll design.
